The distance

I dream about you at night

I wake to thoughts of you in the morning

You envelop my mind throughout the day

Your soul reach out to mine

And the distance shrinks

I dream about you at night

And feel your arms wrapped around me

You guide me with a mere whisper in the air

As I feel your heartbeat next to mine

And the distance shrinks

I dream about you at night

And I feel your longing and despair

You reach out with a tender word

As our emotions sour

And the distance shrinks

For a mere thousand miles

Cannot douse the flame of love

That you enshroud me with

Unconditionally, waiting

Until the distance is no more
